Currently under construction, this custom Alaska home blends contemporary design with the natural landscape and local aesthetic. Emergent Architecture collaborated closely with the client to realize their vision of an open-plan living area for gathering with guests, complemented by generous bedroom suites designed for private retreat. Each interior space offers unimpeded views of the Knik Arm glacial valley and soaring mountain peaks beyond, seamlessly connecting the interior environment with its wild setting.

Construction began in Fall of 2025 and is slated for completion in Spring of 2026. Construction is being carried out by Trent Schachle and the amazing team at Luvschack Custom Homes. Custom timber elements were fabricated by the team at Cascade Joinery out of Bellingham, Washington. The below photos document the construction process for this exciting project.
